What’s In Progress? – December 2022
I was a little busy watching the snow fall. But hey, while I didn’t do much as of late, I’m also taking the take to relax (from work).
Also, happy holidays!
Emoji Picker
Yesterday, I released some kind of Web-based Emoji picker on my GitHub Portfolio after being a little infuriated with today’s pickers (looking at you, Windows, GTK, and Plemora/Akkoma-FE emoji pickers).
Load the page, start typing, and click on an Emoji. And that’s it, it’s now in your clipboard!
While I could do a desktop version with Qt+QML, that would have taken a lot more effort. So, enjoy!
Textpad
The lite Web textpad received the autofocus
attribute for the textarea
element. Yay? Yay!
ddh
I just released ddh 2.0.2 which saw a few improvements.
The omf version still works on Windows XP.
ddpanel
Lots of progress towards the Web infrastructure and the logging module. Lastly, I was working on the AMI module, which will require thread handling, then I’ll hope to see if I can retrieve the running Asterisk version.

Currently adjusting the reverser code…
I think version 0.5 will only still be a “hex reader, but now with caret navigation”, because otherwise it’s going to take me a lot of time to turn it into an editor, and I’m slow.
And I still need to clean the code…
alicedbg
I have at least 3 project ideas to reuse the work I’ve done with my alicedbg project.
I’m not guaranteeing a new project, but, you know, I like to dream.
Misc.
I took the time to validate the HTML format for dd86k.space
and dd86k.github.io
, update certificates, update friend buttons, disable commenting on this blog (I was only getting spam from the same bot), you know, maintenance stuff.
Otherwise, my family keeps me very occupied as every Christmas times. I hope you’ve been having a good one.
